Sneak Peak #1

I’m feeling generous. Actually I hope that it’ll motivate me a bit to get moving with things…

Just a tiny snippet of what’s to come. It doesn’t give a whole lot away other than a slight idea of the GUI.

What you see is 100% completed code. That’s not a Photoshop preview or straight HTML template. Everything about it (and most things you don’t see) is 100% functional.

Looks great for starters. That pinboard background really gives a feeling of looking at holidays snaps stuck on the wall and a laid back feel.

One suggestion (this is going back to my yr12 viscom days) but consider a clear textual heirachy, in that screenshot we can already see 6 styles of text which can make things look a bit jumbled. Think about it in terms of what each bit of text is about (content text, heading, site operational stuff etc) as well as how important each piece of information is. Maybe sort of trim down the number of text styles (Eg does “recent photos” need to be a different color to the green used elsewhere)
    Just my thoughts….

The eclectic nature will make better sense when you see the full picture.

Wicked. Hopefully we’ll see some more spacing above “Recent Photos”. Apart from that though, looking good!

    Looks really good.

How far away are we from this final product?

There’s not a whole lot more left to do, but unfortunately finding time to complete it is the biggest hurdle right now.

I’d like to think we’ll be ready for a summer launch.
